We are experienced venture investors and operators of healthcare technology companies. Our investment focus is driven by our years of experience growing biopharmaceutical product companies and therapeutic medical device companies.
We invest in and work with a limited number of exceptional entrepreneurs. We limit our commitments in the belief that our involvement can increase the probability of success for our portfolio companies and generate greater returns for our investors. Accordingly we choose to limit our capital base. We understand this model well and think that it doesn't scale easily.
We have plenty of experience leading early-stage investments, but we are comfortable co-investing as well. We are willing to participate in financings as small as $1 million, but also have the capacity to invest up to $15 million in a company over time.
Diverse skills and experience, a strong capital base, and good minds all add strength to our companies. We welcome the collaborative participation of experienced venture capital firms and strategic (corporate, academic, philanthropic and individual) investors in our projects.
We have more than $250 million of committed capital to support our companies. Our investors include leading institutions, families and individuals from the U.S. and abroad. Part of this capital is our own, and we try and think of it all that way.
