Sofinnova Partners

Sofinnova Partners is an independent venture capital company based in Paris. We have special relations with Sofinnova Ventures, our sister firm based in San Francisco. We invest primarily in companies in information technologies and life sciences, in France and in other European countries. A limited portion of our investments is made in the US.

We invest in start-ups and early-stage companies with ambitious projects. The minimum unit investment is €0.5 million. Up to €20 million may be invested over several rounds of financing.

We prefer to invest in companies capable of attracting European investors.

We act as lead or co-lead investor, take an active part on the board of directors, and bring added value to the management team.

Sofinnova’s team usually invests as lead or co-lead investor in first and second rounds in collaboration with leading European, US and Asian venture capital funds, especially in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium and Luxembourg.
